On November 6, WBRC members, users, and staff gathered to celebrate the Centre's second anniversary since opening its doors to women entrepreneurs in PNG in 2016.

PNG Country Director Eli Webb gave opening remarks on the success of the WBRC in serving the needs of women in the community. In these two years, the WBRC has seen over 1,000 women enter through its doors, and has provided its regular members with ongoing business skills workshops, networking opportunities, and a safe and accessible space to develop and grow their businesses.

The celebratory event featured a small-business showcase where women entrepreneurs displayed their products and businesses, which included bakeries, jewelry retailers, and professional development programs.

Attendees included US Ambassador Catherine Ebert-Gray, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Counselor Andrew Eagan, and representatives from the PNG Department of Community Development and Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
